A few months ago I was struggling and not sure what to do next.
I’ve always known that my life’s purpose is to help people love and value themselves so they can live the happy, successful, fulfilled life they deserve.
My passion, and the reason I feel I’m here in this world, is to empower and support people as they discover their talents, maximize their potential and learn to love and respect themselves.
However, I’d tried everything I could think of to reach people, and seemed to be hitting a brick wall in every direction. I was frustrated and starting to become depressed, thinking that maybe my vision for my life wasn’t real.
I knew the impact I wanted to make, but was stuck about how to move ahead and reach large numbers of people. I’d written my book and was selling copies, but not enough to make the difference in the world that I felt destined to make.
Then an amazing thing happened!
I was talking with one of my good friends, who told me about an amazing Bob Proctor seminar called You Were Born Rich. My friend invited me to attend, I said “yes”, reserved my spot at the conference, and suddenly everything came together.
Even though the conference was in a week, I was able to book a flight at the last minute, get the hotel room at a great rate, and within a few days my husband and I were flying south.
When we arrived at the hotel our room wasn’t ready so we were given a terrific upgrade, and then my friend introduced us to many incredible people who are very successful at reaching their respective audiences. These wonderful people were welcoming and happy to share their knowledge with me.
The conference was inspiring, exciting, and reminded me of all the things I’d always known about creating my reality, but had lost in my depression. It was exactly what I needed to re-energize myself and show me how to move ahead.
Now I’m creating all kinds of things that will fulfill my purpose of helping people take the journey of discovery that will lead them to positive self-esteem.
Some people would say this series of events is serendipity, which is defined as “the occurrence of events by chance, in a happy and meaningful way.” On one level I agree, but I also believe (as Bob Proctor tells us) that thoughts become things, and if I hold my goal in my mind, the path will become clear.
This experience was a reminder to me that we must always believe in our dreams, expect the best, be open to whatever comes, and be willing to take risks and act on hunches and feelings.
We never know when things will serendipitously come together.
