Everyone wants to be successful, right?
They claim they want to double their income, start a business, get in great shape, find their soul mate…
For a lot of people, their desire persists, but somewhere deep inside they don’t believe it will ever happen.
Unless and until they change their belief, their desire will never become a reality.
For some, these beliefs, such as “you’re not good enough” or “you’re not worthy,” were deeply rooted in their childhoods. Others simply believe they don’t have what they need, such as skills or talent, to attract success into their lives.
Either way, they are not consciously aware that their thoughts, feelings and actions are not serving them.
Play the long game
Having beliefs and habits that don’t serve us affects every area of life—our career, finances, relationships, health and social life.
For example, many people use control as a means of staving off fear. So, we might get a degree to reduce the fear of poverty, get married to avoid the fear of loneliness, and verbally attack someone because we’re afraid they might hurt us.
While this might be an effective short-term strategy, being driven by fear and the need to control will never lead to long- erm stability, happiness or success.
Control is an illusion. We have very little control over anything except our own thoughts and actions. Universal laws govern everything else.
Go with the flow
If you don’t like the way you feel or the results you’re getting, change your vibration by changing your thoughts (Law of Vibration).
Recognize that when things aren’t going your way, they will swing your way again (Law of Rhythm). To guide them in the direction of your choosing, plant seeds and take action that move the energy in that direction (Law of Cause and Effect).
Then, be patient. Recognize that it takes time for seeds to germinate and to create the results you want. Life needs time to unfold. (Law of Gender).
When you start to incorporate the universal laws into your life, you stop working against nature. This can make life more enjoyable because it’s easier to go with the flow than it is to fight against it.
To illustrate this point. let’s re-examine the idea of getting married to avoid loneliness.
Being pledged to someone isn’t a guarantee that you won’t be alone or lonely. The other person may not want you or spend time with you. And you may not feel connected to them.
Grasping at things and trying to control the outcome rarely works. Working within the universal laws is always a better option because the energy is working with you.
In this case, using the Law of Oneness (everything is connected) and the Law of Vibration to send out loving connected energy to everyone is a far better use of your time. What you send out comes back. Not because you have power over others, but because that’s how energy works.
Why? Why? Why?
Rather than living on autopilot, blindly doing certain things day in and day out, take some time to examine your life.
Look at each area of your life and ask yourself why you do the things that you do. Especially the areas where you’re not getting the results that you want.
Whether you are making a big life-altering decision or one that is seemingly insignificant, such as “Why do I want to change my hairstyle?”, get to the bottom of the motivation for making the decisions you make each day.
Proceed consciously through life, taking time to understand your reasons for pursuing a certain career, marrying a particular person, taking or not taking a risk that others believe is a no-brainer, deciding whether or not to have kids, or moving to a new destination.
Ask yourself: Is it fear or courage that motivates me? Certainty or doubt that comforts me? And even more importantly, Is it my own internal compass that points the way or is it someone else’s?
Now this may slow the pace of your journey down from time to time, but much like racing to the train station to hop on the first train that comes by only to discover that it’s going in the wrong direction, you will ultimately be happier and more successful in life.
Experience the difference?
Living in alignment with universal laws is not a philosophy; it is a direct experience—just like anything else.
You may have had a direct experience in your life when you felt a lot of negativity, anger, and resentment. You know how that feels, and you know how you feel toward others and your daily experiences when you’re feeling that way.
If you grow past that experience and align yourself with universal laws, the clouds of lower vibrations will drift away. You will let go of things that are not serving you, you will respond to life instead of reacting to it, and you will become the person you need to be to attract your desires.
And it can start by making one small shift.
So, what’s one change you can make right now to experience more happiness or success in one area of your life?
