I have for you an idea that can change the course of your life – today. I want you to let this come into your mind all day long – and every day for the rest of your life.
You may have seen the movie The Secret. It has been reported that 380 million people have been impacted in one way or another through the viewing of this film. Rhonda Byrne’s inspiration to create The Secret came after she read the book – The Science of Getting Rich. Chapter seven in The Science of Getting Rich is – Gratitude. On the first page of this chapter, there’s a line that has the potential to open your mind to the value of this powerful lesson.
It says: the entire process of mental adjustment and attunement can be summed up in one word: gratitude. Now think about that for a moment, I’ll repeat it. The entire process of mental adjustment and attunement can be summed up in one word, gratitude.
There are times when we are all disturbed by something. Somebody says something or something happens and it plays on our mind, causing us to look down the wrong road – to feel bad about ourselves and our environment. When this happens, it’s time for a mental adjustment. The entire process of mental adjustment and attunement can be summed up in one word, gratitude.
I’m going to give you an idea you can use the next time you find yourself disturbed by someone or something. Sit down and take a few minutes and just relax – then ask yourself the question: what am I grateful for? Now you’ve got to be sincere. You need to feel this deeply.
I’m grateful for the fact that at my age, I can work the way I’m working, do the things I’m doing, and enjoy all the people I’m enjoying. I’m grateful for the fact that I’m able to communicate this valuable information to millions of people all over the world. I’m grateful for the fact that I have attracted some beautiful people into my life. I can go on and tell you one thing after another. It’s not hard for me to list them because I have turned gratitude into a habit.
You see gratitude is the attitude that improves the quality of life. Gratitude is the attitude that hooks you up to your source of supply. Now it’s your turn, write what you are grateful for on a piece of paper, write it on 2 or 3 pieces and put the paper in your pockets or stick it in your purse. Pay attention to what happens to you every time you touch that piece of paper. I guarantee it’ll change your life; it will raise your awareness and improve your attitude.
Gratitude is the attitude that hooks you up to your source of supply, and understand this, the closer you get to the source the greater the supply, isn’t that a nice idea.
