Isn’t that an awesome video?
There are so many things in Bob’s home that are a powerful demonstration of the past 54 years of his remarkable life…
There’s Bob’s leather bound copy of Think and Grow Rich that he has read every day since 1961. And Earl Nightingale’s vinyl recording by the same title that Bob listened to hundreds of times to change his paradigm in the early ‘60s.
As a result of his self-discipline and understanding of universal laws, Bob is able to set and achieve incredible goals, such as being able to fly in a Citation X airplane whenever he flies. He just drives up and it takes him wherever he wants to go!
One of the reasons Bob enjoys such a wonderful life is that he has an incredible ability to focus on the moment. I’ve never met anyone who is more fully present.
So I really loved Bob’s demonstration with the hourglass and focusing solely on the sand that is passing from the top to the bottom of the glass. He said that if you want to make anything out of your life, you better be focused on what you’re doing right here, right now because that’s all you’re ever going to have.
Even if you’ve heard that a thousand times, I hope you’ll take a few seconds now to heed his advice. Take a breath and be present in this moment—right here, right now.
In his wonderful book, The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle wrote, “Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.”
Practice making NOW your focus. At first you’ll have to work at it, and you’ll be able to stay in the present for only a couple of seconds. But once you’ve had your first few glimpses of the timeless state of consciousness, you’ll start to choose to be present in the moment, to be right here, right now. And then, you’ll be able to exert your full power.
To more and better,

P.S. Focusing on the moment is so important. It’s what allows Bob to get a lot done in a short period of time. If you have a technique that works well for being in the moment, share it in the comments below. We’d love to hear what works for you!
